How much do we really value our children?
Between ages 0 and 6, human beings decide whether they are going to love and trust themselves, others and the world.
Or not.
If we don't take care of the young onest at those ages, we could spend billions on mental health and still suffer an epidemic of mental distress, drug addiction, suicide and racism on our hands.
(As we already do.)
Care of children needs to become a high status area and motherhood/parenthood needs to be viewed as the most important job of all.
If we did this, alot of our other social problems would disappear as a byrproduct. (Gandhi pointed this out....)
(This might sound impractical until you consider the alternative...throwing even more money at a problem that will only get worse until we address its root.)
